Prime Minister-designate of the NDA alliance, Mr. Narendra Modi, is facing the challenge of balancing the formation of the Union Council of Ministers. The TDP, Janta Dal (JD-U), and seven smaller partners are eagerly awaiting the PM’s call to join the new cabinet.
The cabinet swearing-in is set for tomorrow, but there’s speculation about who will be in the new team of the PM-designate. According to a top BJP source, the Prime Minister will decide on his cabinet based on the challenges ahead and the nature of the mandate this time.

Amit Shah, the former Union Home Minister, isn’t enthusiastic about returning to the home ministry but aims to delve into the Finance Ministry to influence the country’s economy. He left an indelible mark in the previous ministry by abrogating Article 370 and spearheading various legislation.
It’s anticipated that BJP President J P Nadda will assume the role of Home Minister, while senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh is expected to continue as Defence Minister. Union Minister for External Affairs Jaishankar is likely to retain his portfolio. A source from Rashtrapati Bhavan suggests that a total of 55 members will be sworn in, including 35 cabinet ministers, fifteen ministers of state, and the rest as Independent ministers.
